Overview (begin introduction to Flash)

Flash Training, One On One Flash Tutor, Remote Flash tutor, Flash Teacher, Bill Dallas Lewis.

This is an introductory session for Flash .  Even if you are   using Flash 5, Flash Mx, Flash MX 2004 or Flash 8, Flash CS3 these lessons will work.  I wish someone had sat me down and shared these concepts with me when I started My Flash experience back when I was using Flash 4.

A little about me.   I've been writing and illustrating Children's Books for 15 years.   I'm a graduate of Dartmouth College and, The Ohio State University.   More than 600 schools have flown me in to share with their students how to write literature and use computer graphics applications.   I've visited schools anywhere from Saratoga California to Izmir, Turkey.

The first section shares concepts that you may not want to hear about, but they are very important.   Topics like what is a key frame, what is a vector, what is a pixel.   These are necessary issues to explore in the Flash environment.

In many of the sections, I use quicktime movies to show you how to do things in Flash.   If you see a little screen that looks like Flash, and it's not moving, then just click the little play button just like on your VCR.

So far I have posted only one lesson.   More will come over the next few months, and they will continue to come.   If I'm not posting the next lesson soon enough, email me, let me know and I'll speed up production.
