Applying Colors to Objects in Flash. Call or email for a private Let’s do it. I had Johnny Cockran taking my Flash Class during the OJ Trial. After 4 days in the class, he was walking out, he pulled me to the side and he said, “Bill, I finally get it. When you’re in Flash, if you want to effect, you’ve got to select!” |
|
Ok, I’m lying. Johnny wasn’t in my class. I made this up. But it’s true. If you want to effect something in Flash, you have to select it first. To select any object in Flash, you use the black arrow tool.

1. Click in the middle of
the oval. |
|
1. Open the swatch panel.
Go....Window>Design Panels>Color Swatches. |
|
| Another panel to assign color. (you may have to click the play button) |
1. Open the color mixer. Go....Window>Design panels>Color Mixer. |
| 2. Look at this thing. The swatch box we opened earlier
only has a few colors. This Color mixer has 16.7 million colors. Drag around in the little color box in the color mixer to choose a color. If you want to add this new color to your swatch box, in the color mixer, you’ll see a drop down menu in the upper right hand corner of the color mixer. If you click on it, you’ll see the option to “add swatch.” This puts that color in the swatch box. If you save your file, this color is saved in this files swatch box. |

| So there you have it. Assigning color to objects. But what if you don’t want the fill or the stroke. What if you want an oval with no stroke, or no fill. Let me say this right now. Stroke can be a real pain. Many times if you don’t kill the stroke, that means get rid of it, it can cause you many problems. You’ll see. | |
