I’ve been writing html since 1994. I was writing and illustrating children’s books and I wanted to put them on the web, so I wanted a web site. I bought a couple of html books and I’ve had my web site ever since. My web site is one of the oldest websites on the net. I was investigated by the F.B.I. because they didn’t know what web sites were back then. Disney was investigated also.
Anyway, many programs write html for you like Dreamweaver, Frontpage, Go live and others. The thing is, I use these programs daily, and daily the program doesn’t do exactly what I would like it to. So, I have to roll up my sleeves and look at and edit the code.
It’s really not that hard to understand.
Html is like English. No one knows every word in the English language and with Html, you don’t have to know all of the “tag” definitions, but you do need to know the basics.
If you’re going to do web design, understanding html is a must, and I’d be happy to help you out.
Before learning Css, Html is a must.
